DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Shama Obaid Islam has been elected unofficially from Faridpur-2 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

She bagged 1,21,694 while his nearest rival Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis candidate Md Akram Ali got 89,305 votes.

In the referendum, 1,25,034 voters cast 'yes' vote while 67,008 others cast 'no' vote in this constituency. 

The results were announced from Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
