DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Ilias Mollah has been unofficially elected from the Faridpur-1 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election, securing 1,54,145 votes.
According to the unofficial results, his closest rival, BNP candidate Khandokar Nasirul Islam, received 1,26,476 votes.
In the referendum, a total of 1,85,423 voters cast 'Yes' votes, while 1,12,803 cast 'No' votes in the constituency.
The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in Agargaon, the capital, today.
Voting was held from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm across 42,779 polling centres in 299 constituencies nationwide on Thursday.
