DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Kamrul Hasan has been unofficially elected from the Mymensingh-6 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 77325 votes.
According to the unofficial results, his nearest rival, Md Akhtarul Alam of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) received 49476 votes.
The constituency also witnessed significant participation in the referendum held alongside the parliamentary polls. A total of 160205 voters cast 'yes' votes in the referendum, while 47472 voted 'no', indicating active engagement by the electorate in both electoral processes.
The results were formally announced at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission. The announcement was made during a briefing held at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
