DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) – Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Lutfullahel Majed has been unofficially elected from the Mymensingh-8 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 108,685 votes.
According to the unofficial results, his nearest rival, Md Awrangajeb Belal of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), received 46,515 votes.
The constituency also witnessed significant participation in the referendum held alongside the parliamentary polls.
A total of 116,463 voters cast ‘yes’ votes in the referendum, while 46,332 voted ‘no’, indicating active engagement by the electorate in both electoral processes.
The results were formally announced at the Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission. The announcement was made during a briefing at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
