DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Zainul Abdin Farroque has been elected unofficially from Noakhali-2 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He bagged 83,982 votes while his nearest rival National Citizen Party (NCP) candidate Sultan Muhammad Zakaria Majumder got 67,054 votes.

In this constituency, 1,36,654 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 54457 others cast 'No' votes.

The results were announced from Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.

Voting was held from 7:30 am to 4.30pm across 42,779 polling centres in 299 constituencies nationwide on Thursday. 

A total of 12,77,11,793 voters were registered to cast their ballots, including 6,48,25,361 males, 6,28,85,200 females, and 1,232 from the third gender.
