DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Independent candidate Md Abdul Hannan has been elected unofficially from Chandpur-4 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He bagged 74,175 votes with Chingri (prawn) symbol while his nearest rivals BNP candidate Md Harunur Rashid got 69,155 votes with Sheaf of Paddy symbol and Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate secured 66,692 votes with Scale (Daripalla) symbol.

In this constituency, 1,46,035 cast votes for 'Yes' while 54,519 others cast 'No' votes.

The results were announced from Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.

Voting was held from 7:30 am to 4.30pm across 42,779 polling centres in 299 constituencies nationwide on Thursday. 

A total of 12,77,11,793 voters were registered to cast their ballots, including 6,48,25,361 males, 6,28,85,200 females, and 1,232 from the third gender.
