DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Masum Mostafa has clinched an unofficial victory in the Netrokona-5 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.

He secured 82,177 votes, while his nearest rival, Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate Md Abu Taher Talukder, received 79,412 votes.

In the referendum, 100,671 voters cast "Yes" votes, while 44,573 voted "No".

The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election Results Collection and Dissemination Centre of the Election Commission at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon.
