BNP's Jalal Uddin elected from Chandpur-2 with 172,506 votes

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Md Jalal Uddin, candidate of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has been unofficially elected from the Chandpur-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, bagging 172,506 votes.

According to the unofficial results, his closest rival, Md Billal Hossain of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), received 57,473 votes.

In the same constituency, a total of 166,743 voters cast 'yes' votes, while 62,874 voted 'no', reflecting notable participation in the referendum process held alongside the parliamentary polls.

The results were announced during a formal briefing at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission. The briefing took place at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
