DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Abdul Gafur has been elected unofficially from Kushtia-2 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He bagged 1,92,083 votes while his nearest rival BNP candidate Ragib Rouf Chowdhury got 143,821 votes.

In this constituency, a total of 2,38,134 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 76,161 others cast 'No' votes in the referendum.

The results were announced from Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.

Earlier, voting was held from 7:30 am to 4:30pm across 42,779 polling centres in 299 constituencies nationwide on Thursday.
