DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Nazmul Huda has been unofficially elected from the Meherpur-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliament Election, securing 96,306 votes.
According to the unofficial results, his closest rival, BNP candidate Md Amzad Hossain, received 85,988 votes.
In the same constituency, a total of 1,26,547 voters cast 'Yes' votes, while 31,159 voters cast 'No' votes in the referendum.
The results were announced at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
