DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - BNP candidate Sheikh Farid Ahmed has been elected unofficially from Chandpur-3 constituency in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election.

He bagged 1,65,404 votes, while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Shahjahan Miah secured 1,00,865 votes.

In the referendum, 1,66,246 voters cast votes for 'Yes', while 98,309 others cast 'No' votes. 

The result was announced from the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
