BNP's Selim Bhuiyan unofficially elected in Cumilla-2

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Md Selim Bhuiyan has been unofficially elected from the Cumilla-2 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 77,037 votes.

According to the unofficially announced results, his closest rival, independent candidate Md Abdul Matin received 63,045 votes.

In the same constituency, a total of 1, 45,962 'yes' votes were cast, while 32,302 voters cast 'no' votes.

The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and Thirteenth National Parliamentary Election 2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission, held at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
