DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) candidate Mohammad Fakhrul Islam has been unofficially elected from the Noakhali-5 constituency in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing 147808 votes.

According to the unofficially announced results, his closest rival, Md Belayet Hossain of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami received 120453 votes.

In the same constituency, a total of 167697 'yes' votes were cast, while 98834 voters cast 'no' votes.

The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and Presentation Center of the Election Commission, held at the Agargaon Election Building in the capital.
