DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Independent (motorcycle symbol) candidate Md.
Lutfar Rahman Khan Azad has been elected from the Tangail-3 constituency in
the 13th National Parliamentary Election, securing a total of 1,07,901 votes.
According to unofficial results announced at a formal briefing held at the
Election Commission's Referendum and 13th National Parliamentary Election-
2026 Results Collection and Dissemination Centre at the Agargaon Nirbachan
Bhaban in the capital.
Azad defeated his nearest rival BNP candidate SM Obaidul Haque who received
82,769 votes in the constituency, by a significant margin.
In addition to the parliamentary results, referendum voting figures were also
disclosed.
In Tangail-3, a total of 1,42,983 voters cast 'Yes' votes while 64,924 others
cast 'No' votes.
The information was disclosed during a formal briefing at the Referendum and
13th National Parliamentary Election-2026 Results Collection and
Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
