DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Sheikh Md. Rezaul Islam, Bangladesh Nationalist 
Party (BNP)-nominated candidate, has been unofficially elected in Naogaon-6 
in the 13th national parliament election after securing 1,08,866 votes.

His closest rival, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md. Khabirul Islam 
received 97,629 votes, according to the results announced.

Alongside the parliamentary election, a referendum was also held in the 
constituency. 

A total of 1,47,618 voters cast votes for 'Yes' in the referendum while 
58,537 others cast 'No' votes.

Election Commission (EC) Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the information 
during a formal briefing at the Referendum and 13th National Parliament 
Election-2026 Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan 
Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon today.
