DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Md Masud 
Pervej has clinched an unofficial victory in the Chuadanga-1 constituency of 
the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He got 2,11,041 votes, while his nearest rival, BNP candidate Md 
Sharifuzzaman, received 1,53, 193 votes.

In the Referendum, 2,58,824 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 81,025 others 
cast 'No' votes.

Akhtar Ahmed, senior secretary of the Election Commission, announced the 
result today at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan 
Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon.
