BNP's Robiul Awal wins unofficially from Tangail-6

DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP)-nominated 
candidate Md Robiul Awal has clinched an unofficial victory in the Tangail-6 
constituency of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Election.

He bagged 1, 50,952 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami 
candidate AKM Abdul Hamid received 91,914 votes.

In the Referendum, 1,82,601 voters cast votes for 'Yes' while 69,158 others 
cast 'No' votes.

Akhtar Ahmed, senior secretary of the Election Commission, announced the 
result today at the Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan 
Bhaban in the capital's Agargaon.
