DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Najibur Rahman has unofficially secured victory in the Pabna-1 constituency in the 13th national parliament election, according to preliminary results.

Rahman received a total of 129974 votes, comfortably defeating his closest rival, Md Shamsur Rahman of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), who secured 104245 votes.

The information was formally announced by Akhtar Ahmed, Secretary of the Election Commission of Bangladesh, during a press briefing at the results collection and presentation center set up at the Agargaon Election Building in Dhaka, today.
