DHAKA, Feb 13, 2026 (BSS)- BNP candidate Mohammad Fahim Chowdhury has been declared winner from Sherpur-2 constituency in unofficial results of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Election.

He bagged 1,18,472 votes while his nearest rival Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami candidate Mohammad Golam Kibria got 1,08,335 votes.

In the referendum, 147,242 voters cast ‘yes’ vote while 55,994 voters cast ‘no’ vote in the constituency.

Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed disclosed the information at a briefing held at the 13th Jatiya Sangsad Result Collection and Dissemination Centre at Nirbachan Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon tonight.
