DHAKA, Feb 11, 2026 (BSS) – A total of 4,81,185 postal ballots, sent by Bangladeshi expatriates, who registered through 'Postal Vote BD' app to vote in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls and referendum, have so far arrived here.
“A total of 7,66,862 ballots have been sent to the expatriates, who registered through the 'Postal Vote BD' app, till 9:15 am on Wednesday. Of those, 5,28,579 people have received their ballots, while 515,619 voters have already completed voting,” Salim Ahmad Khan, Team Leader of the Out of Country Voting (OCV) System Development & Implementation (SDI) Project, told BSS today.
In addition, 5,77,327 expatriate voters have submitted their ballots to the post offices or postal departments of the respective countries. Of those, 4,44,436 ballots have been received by the returning officers.
So far, ballots have been sent to the addresses of 7,60,898 registered voters in the country.
According to the latest official data, 6,10,650 voters have received their ballots within the country till 9:15 am on Wednesday. Of those, 5,80,665 people voted, while 561,139 voters have submitted their ballots to post offices or mailboxes. Returning officers have received 4,38,951 ballots so far.
Salim Ahmad Khan said a total of 15,33,684 voters, both in the country and abroad, have registered through the 'Postal Vote BD' app to vote in the polls.
