MAGURA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - A training workshop for polling officials was held in the district on Tuesday in preparation for the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum-2026.

The workshop was organized by Bangladesh Election Commission at 10:00am at conference room of the Office of the Returning Officer.

District Election Officer Faraji Benzir Ahmed conducted the training session as the resource person. A total of 39 polling officials, including presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, and polling officers, participated in the workshop.

During the session, detailed discussions were held on conducting polling operations at OCV and ICPV polling centres in view of the upcoming national election and referendum.

 The officials were provided with comprehensive guidance on polling procedures, duties and responsibilities of polling personnel, management of polling centres, and relevant electoral laws and regulations.

The trainer emphasized the importance of professionalism, transparency, and caution in carrying out polling duties to ensure that the election is conducted in a free, fair, and impartial manner.
