DHAKA, Feb 10, 2026 (BSS) - A total of 471,957 postal ballots of expatriate voters registered through the "Postal Vote BD" app have reached Bangladesh to cast votes in the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections and referendum.
Salim Ahmad Khan, OCV-SDI project Team Leader on expatriate voter registration, told it to BSS this morning, saying that as of 10 am, a total of 766,862 ballots have been sent to expatriates registered through the app.
Of them, 528,233 expatriates have received their ballots and 512,916 have already cast their votes, he said.
Besides, 502,487 expatriate voters have submitted their ballots to the post offices or postal departments of the respective countries, he said, adding that among those, returning officers have so far received 419,919 ballots.
Apart from abroad, the Election Commission (EC) has sent postal ballots to voters residing within the country under ICPV. So far, ballots have been sent to the addresses of 760,898 registered voters inside the country.
According to the latest EC data, as of 10am today, 580,841 voters inside the country have received their ballots.
Of them, 534,376 have cast their votes and 500,408 have submitted their ballots to post offices or mail boxes.
Returning officers have so far received 310,154 ballots.
Salim Ahmad Khan said that a total of 15,33,684 voters at home and abroad have registered through the app to cast votes by postal ballot in the JS elections and referendum.
