 Azharul urges people to vote for 11-party alliance

RANGPUR, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami’s candidate from Rangpur-2 seat ATM Azharul Islam has urged citizens to vote for the 11-party alliance candidates to build a Bangladesh of justice free of discrimination, corruption and terrorism.  

"In the last 54 years, we have seen that people have given their valuable votes for many parties. But, we have not got a Bangladesh of equality and peace. Now is the time for them to exercise their voting rights and test their valuable votes with us," he said.

Azharul Islam, also a central Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami said this while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally organized by Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami at the Sahapur ground of Badarganj Municipality in Rangpur on Sunday evening.  

Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Moulana Muhammad Kamruzzaman Kabir presided over the rally. 

Rangpur District Jamaat-e-Islami Secretary Moulana Muhammad Enamul Haque and Islami Chhatra Shibir's Central Business Education Secretary Mohammad Zakaria addressed the rally as special guests.
 
Azharul Islam said, “We will remember with respect the sacrifice of the country's fearless youth and students in the historic July Revolution to build a fascist-free Bangladesh, which was achieved in exchange for their blood, as a welfare-oriented society and state.”  

Therefore, to build a happy, prosperous and corruption-free country, vote for the candidates of the 11-party alliance and Jamaat in the next national elections.  

“If voted to power, we will give you a Bangladesh free from discrimination, terrorism, extortion and corruption, Insha’Allah. We will not tolerate corruption. We will use the resources of the people and the state honestly for the welfare of the people,” he said. 

Jamaat-e-Islami's Rangpur District Shura and Working Council Member Shah Mohammad Abdul Hannan Khan, Badarganj Upazila Nayeb-e-Ameer Shah Muhammad Rustom, Upazila Jamaat Secretary Moulana Minhajul Islam, Islami Chhatra Shibir Badarganj Upazila President Mohammad Mujahidul Islam, also spoke at the rally.  

Local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and the 11-party alliance were present at the rally, among others.
