Ballot papers reach five Rajshahi constituencies

RAJSHAHI, Feb 9, 2026 (BSS) - Ballot papers for five parliamentary constituencies in Rajshahi district have been dispatched to the upazila level ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election.

Ballot papers for -- Rajshahi-1 (Godagari-Tanore), Rajshahi-3 (Paba-Mohonpur) , Rajshahi-4 (Bagmara) , Rajshahi-5 (Puthia-Durgapur) , Rajshahi-6 (Bagha-Charghat) were transported to nine upazilas of the district from 3:00 pm on Sunday under strict security arrangements. 

Each consignment was accompanied by an Executive Magistrate, members of law enforcement agencies, and election officials.

Rajshahi District Senior Election Officer Motawakkil Rahman said that ballot papers reached all upazilas of the district on Sunday. After arrival, the ballots were stored in designated storerooms at the offices of the respective Upazila Election Officers.

He said that on February 11, ballot papers along with other polling materials will be sent from the upazilas to the polling centres.

However, ballot papers for the Rajshahi-2 (Sadar) constituency will be distributed to polling centres from the field of Hazi Muhammad Mohsin Government School on the same day.

Rajshahi Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Afia Akhter said that transparency and security have been ensured throughout the entire process of ballot transportation and storage. The highest level of caution has been taken to prevent any untoward incidents, she added.

There are a total of 22.69 lakh voters in six constituencies of the district. Alongside the national election ballot papers, an equal number of referendum ballots have also been delivered to the upazilas.
