DHAKA, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS)- The Election Commission (EC) has requested the registered voters residing in Bangladesh who have enrolled through the Postal Vote BD app to complete their voting after receiving their ballots and submit the yellow envelope at the nearest post office by February 10, in order to participate in the 13th National Parliamentary Election and referendum scheduled to be held on February 12.

The request was made in a message issued by the EC today.

The EC message said that voters residing in Bangladesh who registered through the Postal Vote mobile app are being informed that if they complete voting immediately after receiving the ballot and submit the yellow envelope at the nearest post office by February 10, it will be possible for the ballot to reach the Returning Officer in time.

In another message, the EC said: "Honourable voters who have registered for postal voting and have not yet scanned the QR code are requested to scan the QR code printed on the envelope by 11:59 pm on February 10. Ballots will be considered invalid without QR code scanning," the message added.
