Victory of Dharipalla will open new horizon of development: Dr Taher

CUMILLA, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Dr Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher today said that ahead of the upcoming national 
election, massive public support has been created in favor of the Dharipalla (scales) symbol, and with the support of people, a new horizon of development 
will be opened in the country.

"Through exercising voting rights, people themselves must determine their future. I call upon everyone to come to the polling centers without fear and 
cast their votes. With the victory of the Dharipalla symbol, a new horizon of justice-based development and good governance will be opened in the country," 
he said.

He was addressing the chief guest's speech at an election rally this evening at Payarkhola High School ground in Jagannathdighi Union of Chauddagram 
upazila.

He urged all to work unitedly to strengthen the support further for justice.

He added that any attempt to create chaos or occupy polling centers must be resisted through people's united stance. "We all have to remain vigilant and 
responsible to ensure a peaceful election environment," he said.

Chauddagram Upazila Jamaat Ameer Mahfuzur Rahman, former Union Bank Managing Director Syed Abdullah Md Saleh, and former HBR President Syed Golam Sarwar attended the rally as special guests.

Md Selim presided over the rally and Union Jamaat Assistant Secretary Roki conducted it. 

Former Upazila Jamaat Ameer VP Md Shahab Uddin, Upazila Secretary Md Belal Hossain, Bangladesh Khelafat Majlis Upazila Ameer Maulana Md Shahjalal, Dhaka 
South City Jamaat Executive Committee member Ayub Ali Forayezi, former UP Chairman Abul Kashem, Engineer Mojibur Rahman, NCP Upazila Joint Coordinator 
Mamun Mojumdar, Sanatan community leader Dulal Karmakar, and Islami Chhatra Shibir Cumilla South District Secretary Nurul Islam Molla spoke at the rally, 
among others.

Leaders of Jamaat and allied organizations at upazila and union levels, local dignitaries and activists from various wards attended the rally, which 
witnessed a large public gathering.
