KHULNA, Feb 8, 2026 (BSS) – BNP-nominated candidate Ali Asgar Lobby called upon voters to remain united and cast their ballots for the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ to ensure the development of Dumuria–Phultala and restore democracy in the country.

He said the upcoming 13th Jatiya Sangsad election is crucial for reestablishing people’s voting rights and rebuilding a democratic Bangladesh, urging everyone to work together toward that goal.

Addressing a large election rally at Shahpur Bazar in Dumuria on Saturday evening, Ali Asgar Lobby, BNP candidate for Khulna-5 (Dumuria–Phultala), said the BNP, founded on the ideals of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, has always played a leading role during national crises under the leadership of Begum Khaleda Zia.

He added that BNP Acting Chairman Tarique Rahman has presented a comprehensive plan for rebuilding the state, improving people’s living standards, and strengthening state institutions.

To achieve these goals, he said, voters must support the Sheaf of Paddy and help move the country forward. “I want to serve the people of Dumuria–Phultala throughout my life,” he added.

Chaired by Raghunathpur Union BNP Convener Abdur Rob Akunji, the programme was also addressed by Khulna District Jubo Dal Convener Ebadul Haque Rubayed as the chief guest.
