NATORE, Feb 7, 2026 (BSS) - Fourteen platoons of Border Guard Bangladesh
(BGB) have been deployed across Natore district to maintain law and order
during the upcoming 13th Parliamentary Election and referendum.
BGB personnel have been assigned to duty throughout the election period in
coordination with the Army and other law enforcement agencies to ensure
peaceful polling in the district's four parliamentary constituencies.
According to official sources, two platoons of the BGB have been stationed at
each of the seven upazila base camps in the district. The force is primarily
operating as a mobile and striking unit to respond swiftly to any untoward
situation.
BGB members are using modern technology, including body-worn cameras and
drones, while carrying out their duties.
In addition, the BGB's Rapid Action Team and Quick Response Force, along with
helicopters, have been kept on standby to deal with any emergency during the
elections.
Commander of the BGB-53 Chapainawabganj Battalion Lieutenant Colonel Kazi
Mustafizur Rahman said that BGB members would continue to perform their
duties in accordance with the Constitution and the law, placing the highest
importance on maintaining public trust and confidence.
