PATUAKHALI, Feb 5, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman is scheduled to visit Baufal upazila of Patuakhali tomorrow ( Friday) as part of the party’s ongoing election campaign and nationwide political tour.

According to party sources, Dr. Shafiqur Rahman will address an election rally as the chief guest at the public field of Baufal Municipality at 10:00 am.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka Metropolitan South Secretary and Jamaat candidate for the Patuakhali-2 (Baufal) constituency, Dr. Shafiqul Islam Masud, shared the information with reporters after inspecting the rally venue on Thursday afternoon.

Dr. Masud said that along with the Jamaat Ameer, senior leaders of the 11-party alliance will attend the public meeting. Dhaka University Central Students' Union (DUCSU) Vice President (VP) Sadik Kayem is also expected to be present at the rally.

He said preparations at the rally ground are currently underway following a site inspection, with arrangements being made to ensure the program runs smoothly.

Dr. Masud added that coordination meetings have already been held with the local administration, and necessary steps are being taken to ensure adequate security during the event. Internal preparatory meetings have also been conducted by the party.
