DHAKA, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - As part of the election campaign, National Citizen Party (NCP) Convener Nahid Islam will address the nation.

"NCP officials have applied to the Election Commission seeking permission to broadcast the speech on state-run Bangladesh Television (BTV) and Bangladesh Betar," Mahabub Alam, NCP Joint Chief Coordinator and head of the party's media subcommittee told BSS.

The application for the speech's broadcast was submitted today, but the time slot has not yet been allocated, he added.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman is also scheduled to address the nation as part of his party's election campaign on February 9.
