CHATTOGRAM, Feb 4, 2026 (BSS) - BNP-nominated candidate Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin today said Hathazari is his final destination, pledging to work for its overall development if elected in the upcoming parliamentary election.

Seeking votes with the party's 'Paddy of Sheaf' symbol, Mir Helal said he wants to transform Hathazari into a model upazila marked by development, progress, education, culture, peace and communal harmony with the support of the people.

He made the remarks while addressing separate road rallies and mass gatherings at Gumanmardan, Nangalmora and Chipatli areas of the upazila.

Throughout the day, the BNP candidate carried out extensive electioneering in several villages and marketplaces, including Gumanmardan, Peshkarhat, Chaumuhani Bazar, Nangalmora and Chipatli. 

He interacted directly with voters and urged them to cast their votes in the February 12 election along with their family members, seeking their support and blessings.

Local voters showed enthusiasm during the campaign activities.

Upazila BNP member secretary Gias Uddin Chairman, Nur Nabi Talukder, Salauddin Ali, Dr Abdul Khair, Kamal Uddin, Hossain Member, Takibul Hasan Chowdhury Taki, Mohammad Alam and other BNP leaders were present at the road meetings and gatherings.
