RANGPUR, Feb 2, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami-nominated MP candidate from Rangpur-2 (Badarganj-Taraganj) constituency ATM Azharul Islam has called on people to vote on February 12 to build a Bangladesh of justice.
"We have seen many people in the last 54 years. Now, test us, and we will give you a Bangladesh of justice for all and free from discrimination, terrorism and extortion, Insha’Allah," he said.
He made this appeal while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally organized by Radhanagar Union Jamaat-e-Islami at the field adjacent to Madarganj Bazar in Badarganj Upazila of Rangpur-2 constituency on Sunday night.
Jamaat-e-Islami's Radhanagar Union Jamaat-e-Islami President Mohammad Habibur Rahman chaired the election rally.
Azharul Islam, also a central Nayeb-e-Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami said, "We will remember the unforgettable contribution and sacrifice of the youth and students of the July Revolution with respect and honor.”
“Let us all together vote for ‘Yes’ in the referendum to reshape the power structure in the parliament and to build a fascist-free Bangladesh, which was achieved with their blood, as a welfare-oriented society and state,” he said.
He urged the people to vote for the Jamaat-e-Islami candidates and 11-party alliance supported candidates in the upcoming February 12 Jatiya Sangsad Elections to make them victorious with a clear majority.
“We will use the resources of society and the state honestly for the welfare of the people and establish justice in the society,” he said.
Rangpur District Jamaat Shura Member Shah Mohammad Hannan Khan, Badarganj Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Moulana Muhammad Kamruzzaman Kabir, Badarganj Upazila Nayeb-e Ameer Shah Muhammad Rustom addressed the rally as special guests.
Badarganj Upazila Jamaat Secretary Moulana Minhajul Islam, Badarganj Upazila Islami Chhatra Shibir President Mohammad Mujahidul Islam spoke among others.
Local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and 11-party alliance were present at the rally among others.
