SIRAJGANJ, Feb 1, 2026 (BSS) - National Citizen Party (NCP) Spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan assured that if the 11-party alliance is elected in the upcoming election, those who work hard will receive the true value of their products, eliminating the exploitation by middlemen.

"We want a Bangladesh free of corruption and extortion. Shahzadpur's handloom industry, renowned even during British India, has not benefited the workers due to bourgeois rule. The fruits of their labor were taken by middlemen," he said.

Asif Mahmud, also chief of NCP's Election Management Committee, was addressing a roadside meeting at the Shahzadpur BSCIC bus stand in Sirajganj this morning.

He urged the people of Shahzadpur to vote for NCP candidate SM Saif Mostafiz in the upcoming elections to ensure good governance, free from corruption, extortion, and land-grabbing, while also calling for the development of local roads and handloom industries.

Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan emphasized that the people of Bangladesh no longer only consider individual gain but focus on collective benefits. "We will vote for candidates who stand by us in both good and bad times," he said, further appealing to the public to vote against the aggressors.

He added, "We want to make one thing clear: the 'Yes' vote must win. If you want to prevent the rise of fascist rulers like Hasina, then the 'Yes' vote must triumph."

SM Saif Mostafiz, NCP candidate for Sirajganj-6 constituency, echoed the sentiment, saying, "No more people will be allowed to be killed. We want to solve the fundamental problems of the common people and eliminate the roots of corruption." He also called for support for the 'Yes' vote.

NCP's Election Management Committee Secretary Monira Sharmin, Jatiya Jubo Shakti Convener Advocate Tarikul Islam and Shahzadpur Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Mizanur Rahman along with various local leaders and activists also addressed on the occasion.
