BHOLA, Feb 1, 2026 (BSS) - Bangladesh Jatiya Party (BJP) Chairman and BNP alliance-nominated candidate for Bhola-1 (Sadar) parliamentary constituency, Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partho has said he will change the landscape of gas-rich Bhola completely if he is elected in the forthcoming 13th national polls scheduled for February 12.

“If I am elected with the people’s mandate in the upcoming national election, I will change the landscape of the neglected region of gas-rich Bhola,” he said.

He made the remarks this afternoon while addressing an election rally at the North Dighaldi union High School ground in Bhola Sadar.

Partho said that the people of the island Bhola are completely neglected and deprived of their basic rights.

In past times, the Awami League, in the name of development, only engaged in looting, he said, adding that the people’s fortunes did not improve.

“The people of Bhola have seen nothing but nepotism. Roads, bridges, culverts, and rural infrastructure have remained in a dilapidated condition, with no improvement,” he also said.

He further said that just as you were not deceived by voting Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia to victory, Bangladesh will also not be deceived by voting Tareq Rahman .

“Partho said that Tareq Rahman thinks only about the people of the country. He (Tarique) fights to ensure the fundamental rights of the people. Under his capable and strong leadership, the Bangladesh of tomorrow will be a happy and prosperous country free from hunger and poverty,” he opined.

At the rally jointly organized by the BNP and BJP, presided over by union BNP President Razzakul Haider Milon, speeches were also delivered by Bhola District BNP Member Secretary Raisul Alam, along with leaders of both parties from North Dighaldi Union.
