KURIGRAM, Jan 28, 2026 (BSS) - Ameer of Islami Andolon Bangladesh Mufti Syed Muhammad Rezaul Karim has sought vote for the party's Hat Pakha (hand fan) symbol in the upcoming election.

He said that over the last 52-54 years, the policies and ideals through which the country was governed have failed to fulfil any of the fundamental demands of the people of Bangladesh.

Mufti Rezaul Karim made the remarks this afternoon while speaking as the chief guest at an election rally for the Kurigram-2 constituency held at the Independence Victory Monument field in the district town.

Islami Andolon Ameer said that after August 5, 2024, through the mass uprising a historic opportunity emerged in the country to establish justice and protect people's rights.

He said his party made its utmost efforts to utilize that opportunity.

Nur Bakht Mia, the Islami Andolon Bangladesh-nominated candidate for the Kurigram-2 constituency and leaders and activists from the district and upazila levels were also present.
