All candidates are conducting door-to-door campaigns with their party workers and supporters, informing voters about their future development plans.
Today (Wednesday), at around 11:30 a.m., Rajshahi–2 constituency candidate Mizanur Rahman Minu carried out a door-to-door campaign in Ward No. 17 of Rajshahi city.
Earlier, Minu said that the rally of Tarique Rahman scheduled to be held in Rajshahi on the 29th would turn into a sea of people. A wave of support for the “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol has begun among people from all walks of life.
The former mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation said that among all the elections he has witnessed in his life, this election shows an even stronger surge of support for the Sheaf of Paddy symbol across all segments of society. From small children to elderly mothers and sisters, everyone is now in favor of the Sheaf of Paddy.
Mizanur Rahman Minu said that the historic rally of party chairman Tarique Rahman in Rajshahi would transform into a massive public gathering.
“Today we are holding a campaign procession. Rajshahi is our city of peace. All those contesting here are our brothers. We are participating in the election with mutual respect, honor, and affection. Whomever the people elect will run the country,” he said.
He further said that the greatest blessing from Allah for their party is their leader, Tarique Rahman, the son of the party’s president and Madam. The enthusiasm created for him across the country in just a few days has eclipsed all past records.
“He is our pride. We all feel joy that in the future such a leader will build a self-reliant Bangladesh, protecting the nation’s independence and resources like a martyr,” Minu added.
He also said that if the people give them the opportunity to run the country and elect them to serve, they will work for the development of the people.
He said their leader has a clear plan: to free people from hunger and poverty, turn them into a productive workforce for the world, and ensure healthcare for all.
After that, he began his door-to-door campaign. Until noon, the campaign continued in various neighborhoods, important roads, and market areas of the ward.
A large number of party leaders, activists, and supporters accompanied candidate Minu. During the campaign, Minu exchanged greetings with general voters and inquired about their well-being.
On the other hand, Jamaat-e-Islami–nominated candidate for Rajshahi–02 constituency, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahangir, contesting with the “Scales” symbol, said that if the Scales symbol wins, all civic rights of city residents will be ensured.
He said there is no alternative to Jamaat-e-Islami in establishing good governance, justice, and a corruption-free society in the country.
“We want to work uncompromisingly to establish the rights of the people. To ensure development and civic facilities in Rajshahi–2 constituency, honest, capable, and God-fearing leadership is needed,” he said.
He expressed hope that if elected by the people, he would make his utmost effort to improve education, healthcare, employment, and the quality of civic services in the area. Leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its affiliated organizations were present at the meeting.
