JASHORE, Jan 25, 2026 (BSS) – Sabira Sultana, BNP’s candidate for Jashore-2 (Chaugachha–Jhikargachha) constituency, today participated in a colourful street rally ahead of the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.

The rally was marked by mass outreach across Chaugachha Sadar Union and Chaugachha municipality.

A large number of local people including activists and leaders of the party joined the rally spontaneously, creating a lively atmosphere in the area.

Addressing the crowd, Sabila Sultana called for restoration of democracy, justice, and voting rights.

“The victory of the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’ symbol would secure the rights and dignity of the people,” she said, urging people from all walks of life to cast their votes in support of her symbol.

It is mentionable that businessman Nazmul Islam, treasurer of Jessore district BNP and president of Jhikargachha upazila BNP, was killed after being kidnapped in Dhaka in 2011. 

After the death of her husband Nazmul, Sabira Sultana Munni became active in politics.
