Training workshop held in Rangamati ahead of nat’l election

RANGAMATI, Jan 24, 2026 (BSS) - A day-long training workshop for polling officials was held in the district today aiming to conduct the 13th National Assembly Election and Referendum smoothly and in a fair manner.

The workshop, organized by the Election Training Institute in collaboration with the District and Upazila Election Offices, was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner and District Returning Officer Nazma Ashrafi at Taitang Para Government High School in Rajasthali upazila.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Ops) Md. Jasim Uddin Chowdhury, District Senior Election Officer Md. Shafiqur Rahman, and other senior upazila officials were present at the inauguration ceremony.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer provided detailed guidance to presiding officers, assistant presiding officers, and polling officers on electoral procedures and responsibilities. She emphasized the importance of professionalism, neutrality, and accountability to ensure free, fair, and impartial elections.

The training focused on practical aspects of polling operations, electoral laws, and maintaining transparency throughout the voting process.
