BAGERHAT, Jan 22, 2026 (BSS) - Dr. Lion Sheikh Faridul Islam, BNP-nominated candidate for Bagerhat-3, said that only a government elected by the people can take the country forward.

He was speaking at an election campaign rally today on the Fayla Bazar-Khulna-Mongla highway in Ujalkur Union of Rampal Upazila.

Dr. Faridul Islam urged voters to support the sheaf of paddy symbol to restore democracy and people's voting rights. He said BNP always works to protect the rights of all citizens, and expressed confidence in victory in the upcoming election.

Leaders, activists, and local residents participated in the rally.
