DHAKA, Aug 10, 2026 (BSS) - Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Jamalpur Civil Judge AKM Samiul Haque.
Samiul, a member of the 17th batch of the Bangladesh Judicial Service, died in a tragic road accident at around 4 am today when the private car carrying him from Dhaka to Jamalpur collided with a truck in the Lahirikanda Bazaar area of Jamalpur Sadar Upazila.
AKM Samiul Haque, 27, joined the Bangladesh Judicial Service in December 2025 and was serving as a civil judge at the Jamalpur District Judge Court.
In a message of condolence, the law minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
"AKM Samiul Haque was a talented and promising young judge of the Bangladesh Judicial Service. His untimely and tragic death is deeply painful for the judiciary. I am profoundly saddened by the premature demise of such a young and promising judge," the minister said.
