NARSINGDI, Aug 7, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court today sentenced two drug users to three months' simple imprisonment each and fined them Tk 50 each in Narsingdi.

The two were arrested from the Nagariakandi Park area of Narsingdi Sadar upazila during a mobile court drive.

Md. Khalid Hossain Shimul, Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate at Deputy Commissioner’s office conducted the mobile court.

The court convicted them under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, sentencing each to three months' simple imprisonment and a fine of Tk 50. The seized cannabis was burned and destroyed at the spot.

Sub-Inspector Md. Masud Fakir of Narsingdi Model Police Station assisted the mobile court team in conducting the operation.
