JAMALPUR, June 17, 2026 (BSS) - A court here convicted a youth for violating a madrasa girl and sentenced him to life-term rigorous imprisonment today. 

The court of Judge, Woman and Child repression prevention tribunal-1, Muhammad Abdur Rahim fined Md Rajib Hossain, 27, son of Jasijal Haque at village Baghar Char in Dewanganj Upazila of the district, Tk five lakh.

According to the prosecution, convicted Rajib rape a tenth-grade girl on June 8, 2015. After the incident, the victim filed a case with Dewanganj police station.
