DHAKA, May 28, 2026 (BSS) – The congregation of the holy Eid-ul-Azha prayers was held at the South Plaza of the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Bhaban this morning.

The Eid congregation took place at 7:30 am today (Thursday),.

Deputy Speaker of Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal, MP, Secretary of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Barrister Md Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, officials and employees of the Parliament Secretariat, and devotees from different walks of life joined the congregation.

Before the prayers, the Deputy Speaker and the Secretary of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat exchanged Eid greetings with the people. 

On the occasion, the Deputy Speaker prayed for peace, wellbeing and overall welfare of oppressed Muslim communities across the world.

Following the overall directives of the Speaker, necessary arrangements and security measures were taken at the South Plaza for the Eid congregation as like previous years. Separate prayer arrangements were also made for women.

After the prayers and khutbah, a special munajat was offered seeking peace, prosperity and wellbeing for the country, the nation and the Muslim Ummah.

Pesh Imam of the Jatiya Sangsad Secretariat Qari Abu Raihan conducted the munajat.

After the Eid congregation, the Deputy Speaker exchanged Eid greetings with the devotees, while musallis embraced one another and shared greetings.
