DHAKA, July 28, 2025 (BSS) - Rumor Scanner, a fact-checking organization in Bangladesh, has identified a fake social media ID falsely claiming to be that of Dr. Puja Mukherjee, who allegedly came from India to treat victims of the recent aircraft crash.

According to a Rumor Scanner investigation report, the fake ID is being circulated on social media, claiming that the individual is a doctor from India involved in treating those injured in the aircraft crash at Milestone School and College.

The investigation team confirmed that the ID named "Dr. Puja Mukherjee" is fake.

The report revealed that the ID was created by collecting images from two separate Instagram profiles. Furthermore, there is no doctor by that name among the official Indian medical team currently in Bangladesh.
