BHOLA, June 23, 2021 (BSS) –   A number of seven  more persons were diagnosed with COVID-19 positive in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 33 samples at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital COVID-19 laboratory.
 
The new positive cases, three are in Daulatkhan upazila and four in Sadar upazila of the district, civil surgeon (acting) of the district Dr. Md. Sirajuddin, told BSS this afternoon.
 
Meanwhile, five patients recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.
 
 The total number of infected people in the district stood at 2,008 while the number of recovery cases at 1,949, the civil surgeon said.
 
A total of 26 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.
 
Dr. Md. Sirajuddin  said infected seven persons are now undergoing treatment at Bhola 250-bed General Hospital, rest  are now  at home quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.
 
The health experts of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.
 
He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
