CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 29, 2021 (BSS)- A number of 43 more persons tested positive for COVID-19 during the last 24 hours, raising the total number of infection to 4,905 in the district.

  During the this period, 349 samples were tested in the district showing the infection rate 12.32 percent, Civil Surgeon Office sources confirmed.

  Among the newly detected patients, 18 persons are from sadar upazila, six from Shibganj upazila, 15 from Gomostapur upazila, three from Bholahat upazila and one is from Nachole upazila.

  Of the total detected patients of the district, 2,708 persons are from sadar upazila, 852 from Shibganj upazila, 655 from Gomostapur upazila, 368 from Nachole upazila and 322 from Bholahat upazila.

  A total of 459 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 52 patients are getting treatment in dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

  Meanwhile, 138 patients have died of COVID-19 and 4,308 patients have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
