GAIBANDHA, July 28, 2021 (BSS)-Gaibandha Zila Parishad distributed cash money, food materials and quality masks to the helpless and jobless people due to lockdown situation in Fulchhari upazila of the district on Tuesday to mitigate their sufferings caused by ongoing corona pandemic.

On this occasion, a simple function was also held at the hall room of Hossainpur Muslim Academy in the upazila with Zahidul Haque, chairperson of the academy’s governing body, in the chair.

Chairman of the Zila Parishad (ZP) Ataur Rahman Sarkar formally distributed the cash Taka 1,00,000 to 100 helpless people and food materials to 100 jobless people and quality masks to all as the chief guest.

The chairman urged the people to avoid gathering and remain at homes for maintaining social distancing and properly abide by the health directives of the government to prevent community transmission of COVID-19.

Member of Central Jatiya Party Shahjahan Khan Abu, Joint Secretary of district Jatiya Party Rezaunnabi Razu, local Union Parishad Chairman Liton Miah and other political leaders were present, among others, on the occasion.
