CHAPAINAWABGANJ, July 19, 2021 (BSS) - Twenty-seven more persons were tested positive for Covid-19 during the last 24 hours raising the total number to 4,705 in the district.  

During the time, 261 samples were tested in the district showing the infection rate 10.34 percent, civil surgeon office sources confirmed.

Among the newly detected patients, seven are in Sadar upazila, five in Shibganj upazila, three in Nachole upazila and 12 in Bholahat upazila.

Of the total detected patients of the district, 2,605 persons are in Sadar upazila, 817 in Shibganj upazila, 617 in Gomastapur upazila, 362 in Nachole upazila and 304 in Bholahat upazila.  

A total of 438 patients are undergoing treatment in the district. Of them, 58 patients are getting treatment at dedicated Covid hospital and others at home.

Meanwhile, 129 patients have died of Covid-19 and 4,138 patients with 206 new have recovered from the disease here, the sources added.
