BOGURA, July 17, 2021 (BSS) – A number of 156 more people were reported positive for coronavirus in the last 24 hours in the district after testing 328 samples at Bogura TMSS Medical College Hospital COVID-19 PCR laboratory, SZRMC COVID-19 PCR laboratory  and  rapid antigen and Genexpert testing centers.

The infection rate is about 47.56 percent in the district, deputy civil surgeon of the district Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin said.

 The total number of infected persons in the district stood at 16,882 and the number of recovery cases stood at 14,318, deputy civil surgeon of the district Dr Mostafizur Rahman Tuhin, told BSS.

A total of 147 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in the last 24 hours in the district.

Meanwhile, five people have died with coronavirus infection and 13 persons have died with corona symptoms in the last 24 hours in the district, he said.

A total of 497 persons have so far died of COVID-19 in the district, he added.

Deputy civil surgeon  Dr. Mostafizur Rahman Tuhinn  said infected 657 persons are now undergoing treatment at various Hospitals in the district, rest of the infected persons are now undergoing treatment at home  quarantine under the supervision of doctors from their respective upazila health complexes.

The health expert of the district urged all to follow the health rules strictly and use masks to prevent the spread of the lethal virus.

 He urged everyone to be more aware to prevent this lethal infection.
