MUNSHIGANJ, Sept 11, 2026 (BSS) – A Saudi expatriate died in a motorcycle crash near the Kuchiamora Bridge on the Dhaka-Mawa Expressway today.

The deceased was identified as Hridoy Hossain, 27, son of Sayeed Hossain of Abdullahpur village in Keraniganj Upazila.

In the incident, the pillion rider, Sajjad, 24, was injured. Son of Rabiul Awal of the Ghoramara area in Sirajdikhan Upazila, Sajjad has been admitted to Sirajdikhan Upazila Health Complex.

The motorcycle lost control on the slope of Kuchiamora Bridge in the Dhaka-bound lane this morning where Hridoy and Sajjad crashed into the railing. Hridoy died on the spot.

Deputy Assistant Director of Munshiganj Fire Service and Civil Defence Muhammad Shafiqul Islam said on the slope of Kuchiamora Bridge in the Dhaka-bound lane, Hridoy and Sajjad crashed while riding the motorcycle at high speed.

Officer-in-Charge of Hasara Highway Police Station, Md Sohel Rana said the body was handed over to his family members after completing the initial procedures.
